Very Simple To Become A Happier Person

If you ask ten people, “what is it you want out of life,” nine of them will say become happier.   Why is it so hard for people to have discipline and achieve their fitness goals?  Why do more people achieve their goals with their careers, but not their health?  I have been in the Health and Fitness Industry for 20 years and I always come across the same challenges with all of my clients.  Everyone wants a quick fix to loosing weight and being healthier, there is no quick fix! Nothing in life comes easily, so why would weight loss?  Do singers become famous overnight? Do athletes win gold metals without blood, sweat, and tears?  I read a study the other day about how people can become happier, with or without drugs.  There were two groups, one group was given the anti depressant drug and the other group was given a placebo with exercise.  The group that had the placebo pill and the exercise were much happier than the group with the actual drug.  Why is this? happy-2 Exercise is all people need to become healthier, happier, and less stressful.  When people exercise, they look better, feel better and it changes their mood.  Of course, if you have mental issues than require medication, take your medication, and also get on an exercise program.  I can not understand how people can go through life and not exercise, when the benefits are so enormous.  All it takes to start an exercise program is a little discipline and a little motivation, once you start you will feel great.  The other challenge I often here from my clients is, “I exercise all the time but I never see result’s.”  Well, guess what if you are eating fast food and junk food and drinking every night, you won’t!  The big part of getting healthier and happier is feeding your body good nutrition and clean foods.  When you exercise and eat good nutrition, it is very hard to feel awful all the time.

Lastly, your mind is the most powerful tool.  Your mind will try to convince you not to exercise, stay in bed, be lazy, start tomorrow.  No, you need to train your mind to be strong and more positive.  Do not feed into the negativity around you.  Feed your mind with positive thoughts and motivation, tell yourself you can do it, TODAY not tomorrow.  Be very careful who you allow into your life. Surround yourself with people who want to see you succeed in achieving your health needs, and becoming a better person.  People around you, should bring you up not pull you down.  We are all in control of our own thoughts, actions, choices, and goals, make yours good.  Do your exercise, eat nutritiously clean foods, be consistent, and I promise you WILL become a happier person.  Remember, JUST DO IT!
